Temple Of Seitan Open New Test Kitchen at Lost Rivers

Temple of Seitan have been changing the vegan fast food game since 2015, and are now adding to their empire and setting up their test kitchen in Lost Rivers in Old Street.

The 100% vegan fast food company opened their first permanent space in Hackney in January 2017, with an already dedicated following of people lining down the street to get their hands on vegan fried chicken.

They opened Temple of Camden, their second permanent space earlier this year and have now set up a test kitchen in Old Street, where they'll be able to experiment with more seitan goodness and push the boundaries of vegan fast food.

Temple of Seitan founder Pat O'Shea said:

"By far the most enjoyable job at Temple of Seitan HQ is developing and refining new recipes - in fact our prep kitchen is affectionately known as the 'Seitanic Laboratory'. We think the kitchen at Lost Rivers Old Street will be perfect place to showcase these new dishes.

You won't find a 2 piece or Temple Burger here, but we're sure you won't want to miss the boundary pushing dishes we have in store for you. And you might want to bring your own bib!"

The Temple of Seitan x Lost Rivers Co x BLAX-UK collaborative space comprises a full bar and eatery, and launched with seitan BBQ 'spare ribs' and a selection of 'chicken' and 'beef' burgers and sides this week.

Lost Rivers Old Street are also exclusive stockists of London-based vegan favourite Black Mylk ice cream

The walls of the two-floor venue are currently showcasing artworks from independent artists, including our very own illustrator Roxane Dewar.

Danny Price, founder of  BLAX-UK who co-founded the space said:

"I don't think the launch could have gone any better. We're completely over the moon with what we've achieved together.

It's been such a great experience working with Temple of Seitan and it's only the beginning of what looks to be a great relationship. Our plans to spearhead Temple of Seitan's growth via all blax venues over the next few years are off to a fantastic start, everyone on the team is very excited to see where this leads"
